Christian Service

In the Gospels, Jesus calls his followers to love God and neighbor through action. The Christian Service Program at Fenwick introduces students to the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy by offering students the opportunity to volunteer in the local community.

Sophomore Service

In their sophomore year students participate in the sophomore service day program. During the school day, campus ministry staff take small groups of sophomores to various service sites in the Oak Park and Chicago area. With the guidance of their adult chaperones, students volunteer together and end the day with prayer and reflection.

Junior Service

The Christian Service Project helps students to develop the habit of putting their Christian faith into action while growing in understanding and compassion for others. Junior students are required to complete 30 hours of service at one service site.

The Christian Service Program is designed to increase each student's understanding and awareness of inequality in our society, while also allowing them to experience firsthand at least one of the themes of Catholic Social Teaching. Students will dedicate themselves to one community for an extended period of time, building relationships with those whom they serve and growing in compassion and understanding.

Clubs and Teams

Student clubs and sports teams regularly volunteer together. At Christmas, the whole school community comes together to support families in the West Suburban Catholic Charities network.
