Dean of Students and freshman football head coach Dan O'Keefe is closing out his fourth school year with Fenwick.
What is your educational background?
DO: Bachelor’s degrees in communications and criminal justice; Master’s degrees in MA - education administration and MEd - coaching education and athlete development.
What did you do prior to becoming a teacher at Fenwick?
DO: I was dean at DePaul College Prep (Chicago), head football coach at De La Salle Institute and at Leo High School; and an assistant dean at Loyola Academy. I have been coaching for 28 years, including stops in Florida and California.
What are you currently reading for enjoyment?
DO:Swagger by Jimmy Johnson and Bowden by Mike Freeman What interests do you pursue outside of the classroom?
DO: Traveling, when time permits.
To what teams and/or clubs did you belong as a student?
DO: Football and boxing. Which clubs/sports/activities do you run at Fenwick?

DO: Hard-working, conscientious and academically motivated.

DO: Civics

DO: Too much social media; too many unhealthy distractions.
