Fenwick Friars JV Claims Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Resurrection

Fenwick Friars JV took the lead late in the game in a 10-7 victory over Resurrection on Monday.  The game was tied at seven with Fenwick Friars JV batting in the top of the sixth when Mckenna Posluszny drew a walk, scoring one run.
 
Resurrection scored five runs in the fourth inning, but Fenwick Friars JV still managed to pull out the victory.  #33, Sabrina, and Kailey powered the big inning with RBIs.
 
In the first inning, Resurrection got their offense started when Kailey doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
 
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Resurrection tied things up at seven when Kailey doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
 
Fenwick Friars JV notched five runs in the third inning.  Gianna Pescatore, Ellie Mockler, and Cami Cobo all drove in runs in the frame.
 
Pescatore led the Fenwick Friars JV to victory in the pitcher's circle. The righty allowed 14 hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.
 
Ashley took the loss for Resurrection. The pitcher surrendered ten runs on 11 hits over five innings, striking out 11.
 
Fenwick Friars JV hit one home run on the day. Pescatore had a four bagger in the third inning.
 
Fenwick Friars JV tallied 14 hits.  Sophia Leonardi, Rylee Graves, Mockler, Pescatore, and Cobo all collected multiple hits for Fenwick Friars JV.  Mockler, Graves, and Leonardi each managed three hits to lead Fenwick Friars JV.  Fenwick Friars JV didn't commit a single error in the field. Graves had  seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
 
Resurrection racked up 14 hits.  Kailey, Sabrina, Maggie, and Maria each racked up multiple hits for Resurrection.  Kailey went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Resurrection in hits.  Resurrection was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jenna made the most plays with  three.
