Leah Lowery Leads the Fenwick Friars in the Circle

Leah Lowery led the Fenwick Friars Varsity Softball team to victory. Leah got her first official start in the circle for the Friars. Lowery pitched 4 solid innings striking out 6 allowing only one hit and one run. Game was called on account of darkness midway through the 7th. The final score reverts back to the score at the end of 6 complete innings. Friars go on the road to win a game with sectional implications. Great start for the Fenwick Friars. 
Fenwick Varsity Friars snatched the lead late in the game in a 9-6 victory over Ridgewood on Wednesday.  The game was tied at four with Fenwick Varsity Friars batting in the top of the sixth when Kailey Janda tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Fenwick Varsity Friars collected 17 hits and Ridgewood had five in the high-scoring affair.
Fenwick Varsity Friars opened up scoring in the first inning.  Janda doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Leah Lowery led things off in the circle for Fenwick Varsity Friars. Lowery surrendered one run on one hit over four innings, striking out six.
Fenwick Varsity Friars collected 17 hits.  Entler, Janda, Stathas, Teresa Nevarez, Lorenzo, Caity Barganski, and Arispe all had multiple hits for Fenwick Varsity Friars.  Entler led Fenwick Varsity Friars with four hits in five at bats.
