Fenwick Varsity Friars nabbed the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over Trinity Varsity Blazers on Friday.  The game was tied at five with Fenwick Varsity Friars batting in the top of the tenth when Sophie Stone hit a solo homer.
 
Fenwick Varsity Friars earned the victory despite allowing Trinity Varsity Blazers to score five runs in the fifth inning.  Danielle Hoffman, Linea Drever,  Eleanor Flores, and Kendall Hynes each had RBIs in the big inning.
 
Fenwick Varsity Friars evened things up at five in the top of the seventh inning when Madelyn Entler singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
 
Fenwick Varsity Friars put up five runs in the seventh inning.  Molly Mullen, Teresa Nevarez, Gabriella Simon, and Entler each drove in runs during the inning.
 
Stone pitched Fenwick Varsity Friars to victory. The righthander went five innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out five.  Leah Lowery threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
 
Hoffman took the loss for Trinity Varsity Blazers. Hoffman allowed eight hits and six runs over ten innings, striking out 12.
 
Talia Lorenzo started the game for Fenwick Varsity Friars. Lorenzo lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out eight
 
Fenwick Varsity Friars hit one home run on the day. Stone went deep in the tenth inning.
 
Fenwick Varsity Friars collected eight hits.  Kailey Janda and Stone all had multiple hits for Fenwick Varsity Friars.  Stone and Janda all had two hits to lead Fenwick Varsity Friars.
 
Trinity Varsity Blazers totaled ten hits.  Hynes, Emily Rodriguez, and Drever each managed multiple hits for Trinity Varsity Blazers.
