Friars name Dr. Brigitte (Bayster) Kusevskis '96 as Director of Aquatics and Assistant Athletic Director.
Fenwick High School is pleased to announce that Brigitte Kusevskis, Class of 1996, is returning to Fenwick to serve as the Director of Aquatics and Asst. Athletic Director in support of girls’ athletics. She officially begins her new role on July 1st.
Brigitte (Bayster) Kusevskis '96 was a member of the first class of women to enter Fenwick in August of 1992. Dr. Brigitte Kusevskis has served as Dean of Students at Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart since 2021. Since 2015, she has been the Assistant Boys’ Water Polo Coach at Stevenson High School (State Champions 2017 and 2021, State runners-up in 2015, 2016, 2023, and 2024).
Dr. Kusevskis has served in a number of teaching and school leadership positions at Loyola Academy, Niles North High School, and Palatine High School. She returned to Fenwick in 2005 and progressed from social studies teacher to department chair to Assistant Dean to Dean of Students. She remained at Fenwick until 2014.
Brigitte has her PHD in educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch University, an M.A. in educational administration from Dominican University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Villanova University.
Brigitte and her husband Michael have two children. Son Olin attends the Air Force Academy and plays water polo there. Daughter Elsa is a senior at Stevenson and is planning to attend Augustana College to major in accounting and play water polo.
