Team Volunteers for Chicago Marathon

Here is the rundown on the day: 

Buses (organized by myself) will pick up the girls at Fenwick at 7 AM. They will be dropped off at Grant Park ahead of the 8:45 check-in time. At check in they will receive a Chicago marathon lanyard, hat, and windbreaker to wear throughout the day and take home. Once we get to the gear check, the volunteers will be assigned an area to work. Marathon finishers then come up to the tent with their bag ticket and the volunteers simply retrieve the bag and bring it to the runners. Snacks, drinks, and lunch will be provided by the Marathon. Their shift ends at 3 PM, and the buses will take the girls back to Fenwick afterwards.

 

One important note: The marathon requires 1 chaperone per 10 volunteers under age 18. Chaperones must be 21 years of age or older and must register online.
