Fenwick experience that changed you the most: Religion class with Father Monco was very cool. It changed the way I thought about religion and the Bible as a whole.

Fenwick Graduation: Class of 2017
Hometown: Hinsdale, IL
Grade School: St. Isaac Jogues
Current School: Graduated this May (2021) from the University of Illinois
Major: Accounting
Summer Internship: Interned with KPMG since 2019 and will be joining full time in September in the Audit practice.
Career Aspirations: Before starting at U of I, I was deciding between pursuing business or medicine. Although I decided to choose business, healthcare was still something I was interested in. In September, I will be working full time in the audit healthcare practice, so I am still getting some sort of exposure to the healthcare side of things. In the future, I want to eventually get my master’s [degree] in healthcare administration and oversee hospitals and facilities while improving patient care and the safety of others.
Fenwick Achievements/Activities: Lacrosse Team, National Honor Society, Random Acts of Kindness Club, Italian Club
Fenwick teacher who had the most influence on you: There were many teachers who had an influence on me, but ultimately my biggest influence was
Mr. Kleinhans. Not only did Mr. K challenge me intellectually but he taught me that there is more to learn in a classroom than just school work. Through his “Feel Good Fridays,” I learned so many valuable life lessons that I have been able to apply in my own life. He has truly taught me to believe in myself and give thanks to those around you. And for that I would like to say thanks Mr. K!
Fenwick class that had the most influence on you: Mr. Arellano’s speech class has definitely had the most influence on me. I used to get beyond nervous at the sheer thought of public speaking, but
Mr. Arellano helped me overcome that fear. Public speaking is truly a skill we all need to have for the future. Whether it be giving a presentation at school or presenting to a client, it’s a necessity.
Best Fenwick experience/the one you would like to live again: I think something I miss most about Fenwick is the student sections at various sporting events. That’s one thing I really missed out on at U of I since sports aren’t necessarily our forte. U of I didn’t start getting good at basketball until I was abroad, and then COVID hit. So, there wasn’t an opportunity to go to a game when they were ranked. But Fenwick basketball was always so fun to watch, and road-tripping downstate with my friends was definitely a highlight of senior year.
Fenwick experience that changed you the most: This isn’t one specific experience, but overall, I would say the lifelong friendships I built have changed me the most. Over my four years at Fenwick, I developed a support system that inspires me, motivates me and pushes me to be the best person I can be. I am truly lucky to still have that same support system as we enter in the real world to create even more memories with.
