Girls Varsity Tennis Remains Undefeated in Conference Play

On Thursday, September 18th, the Varsity team took the Big Bus to New Lenox to face conference rival Providence Catholic.  Thanks to our driver, Stephanie Kalpedis, for getting us safely there and home.  Singles players Emma Louderback '27 and Katie McCarthy '26 both bagled their opponents, winning 6-0, 6-0.  First, 2nd, and 3d doubles teams had decisive victories: Maddie Cheronis '26/Sydney Woitel 6-0, 6-1; Lucy Gruber/Coco Braithwaite 6-3, 6-2; and Olivia Perez Zuleta '26/Maeve Bonakdar '27 6-1, 6-1.  The Friars also won 2 of 3 doubles matches in exhibition play. Pairs CC D'Alise '27/Mary Dobry '27 and Ella Dwyer '26/Meg Prabhu '27 won 8-0.  Caitlin Stack '27/Guiliana DiGenova '27 played hard and lost a close match 5-8. Overall, a great day of Friar tennis.
