Advancement in the Age of Covid-19
Much has changed since early 2020 when the world was struck by the coronavirus pandemic. This virus has unique qualities that make it unpredictable, difficult to contain and to treat. It has created upheaval in all our lives - physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually.
The constant watchwords in our lives today are “pivot” and “flexibility.” Our ability to assimilate information quickly, to respond to changing circumstances, to be able to react positively to new facts, is critical. This has always been true, but never more so than in the face of a crisis.
Fenwick’s multi-disciplinary approach to education, grounded in the four pillars of Dominican spirituality (prayer, study, community, preaching), which emphasizes critical thinking and belief in one’s God-given abilities, equips the servant leaders of tomorrow to face the crises of their days. It is a vital mission. The Institutional Advancement Department (IAD) exists to advance this mission.
We do this by focusing on activities that are external to Fenwick’s core educational mission, but are indispensable to the long-term strength and vigor of a private, Catholic high school: marketing communications, alumni relations, events, honors and awards and philanthropy.
Philanthropy plays a critical role in furthering the 92-year history of Fenwick and strengthening the school for its second century. The IAD seeks philanthropic support from the entire Fenwick community to help fund annual operating expenses, capital improvements, tuition assistance and endowment.
During this crisis, Fenwick’s primary philanthropic priority is to provide our students and families the financial support they need to come to Fenwick, to stay at Fenwick, to provide as much opportunity for the students of today who will be the leaders of tomorrow. We do not want financial uncertainty to stand in the way of anyone receiving a Fenwick education.
We can only do this with your help. As you review your giving opportunities, please consider supporting Fenwick students. You will change their lives, but will also affect the future.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Institutional Advancement Department so that our team may assist you. Thank you for making Fenwick one of your philanthropic priorities.
