More than 250 students from 10 different schools came to Fenwick after school on Tuesday to compete in the WYSE (Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering) Regionals. "It was our largest turnout ever," says Science Teacher and WYSE Moderator Mr. Dave Kleinhans. Students from each team took two subject-matter tests, and the top 14 team members comprise the team score.
"Fenwick students accounted for 60 of the 250 plus," Mr. Kleinhans continues, adding that the Friars fared very well. "We will advance to the sectionals which are hosted by North Central College on March 6th."
Fenwick competed in seven subjects areas. Results follow with a list of top-performing students by category in order of finish:

"Two of our top scoring seniors missed the competition due to illness. We are hiring a team physician for Sectionals," Mr. Kleinhans jests.
