Congratulations to Fenwick seniors Thomas Bartecki (Hinsdale) and Jack Vomacka (Riverside), who have been selected as candidates for the United States Presidential Scholars Program.

Each year more than 4,500 candidates from the nation’s 37,000 high schools are identified and offered the chance to enter the program, culminating in the selection of 161 Presidential Scholars who will be recognized in June at a White House-sponsored ceremony in Washington D.C.

The Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964 to honor and recognize some of our nation’s most distinguished graduating seniors. It is administrated by the Commission on Presidential Scholars and is part of the U.S. Department of Education.

“Best wishes to both these young men as they continue in the selection process,” says Mr. Richard Borsch, Fenwick Assistant Principal and longtime Director of Student Services. “Friar Nation is proud of you!”
