Senior Prom FAQ 2019

When and where is the Senior Prom?

Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m at the The Hyatt Lodge at McDonald’s Campus in Oak Brook, IL.

 

How much does it cost to attend the prom?

If Tickets are purchased on May 8 and May 9

$70 for a single

$140 for a couple

If tickets are purchased on May 10.

$75 for a single

$150 for a couple

 

Where do I purchase a dance ticket?

Tickets will be on sale before school and after school in the link from May 8-10.

 

What do I need to purchase a ticket?

-You will need a signed parent permission form for each student attending the dance.

-If you intend to purchase a ticket for you and a guest, you will need two forms.

-Permission forms are available online.

 

Can I bring a date from another school?

Yes, but he/she will need a permission form signed by a parent/guardian and an administrator at his/her school.

 

Will dinner be served at the prom?

Yes, dinner will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. Please let us know if you have dietary restrictions (i.e. vegetarian, gluten free etc.) and reasonable accommodations can be made.

 

What is appropriate attire for this event?

This is a formal event. Most young ladies wear long dresses and most young men wear tuxedos.

 

 

 

Post Prom FAQ

What will this event be like?

The post prom will have all kinds of activities—an inflatable obstacle course, a jousting game, black jack tables, roulette, a photo booth, food, and raffle prizes. The prizes include Lollapalooza 4 day passes, sports tickets, electronics, a variety of gift cards and much more! Each student will also get a long sleeved t-shirt when they enter the event.

 

What time is the post-prom?

The event will last from 11:30 p.m. until 2 a.m.

 

Do I have to pay extra to attend the post-prom?

No! This event is included in the purchase of your prom ticket.

 

Do I need a permission form to attend?

Yes. A signed liability waiver must be submitted when students purchase tickets for the dance.

 

If I am a senior, but will not attend the prom, can I still come to the post-prom?

Yes! If you would like to attend the post-prom, but do not plan to attend the prom, you must purchase a $20 ticket for the post prom only.  Students must arrive at Fenwick before 12:00 a.m. at which time the doors close and entrance will be prohibited.

 

How will students get to the post-prom?

-Students travel ONLY by coach busses from the Hyatt Lodge in Oakbrook to Fenwick High School. -Students who attend the prom MAY NOT drive themselves to the post-prom if they have attended the dance.

-The last coach bus will leave the venue at 11:20.

-Any student who does not take the coach busses will not be admitted to the post-prom.

 

Can I change my clothes before the post-prom party?

Of course! Students can drop off a change of clothes in the atrium before school on Friday, May 17th from 7:00 to 8:30 am or Saturday, May 18th from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm in the school atrium. Students MAY NOT go to cars parked in the Fenwick lot before the post-prom.

 

Will there be food at post-prom?

Yes! The Mother’s Club will be providing a late night meal for all post-prom goers. There is also an ice cream bar and a variety of snack foods.

 

Are all students required to attend the event?

No. This event is optional; however, it is strongly encouraged. The Student Council and the Mother’s Club have done a great deal of work to make sure that this is a fun event, and we feel confident that all students will enjoy it.

 

If I attend the post-prom, can I leave early?

No. Students who choose to attend the post-prom must stay for the entire event.

 

How will students get home from the post-prom?

There are a few ways in which students can go home after the post prom:

  • Satellite school busses will travel to two parish grammar schools throughout the area following the post-prom. One bus will go to

    • St. John of the Cross in Western Springs

    • Immaculate Conception in Elmhurst

    • Parents can pick up students at these locations or leave a car for them in the parish lot.

  • Parents can leave a car for students in the Fenwick parking lot. Cars must be left in the Fenwick lot and should NOT be in parking lot at Oak Park Ave. and Madison St. or they may be towed by the village.

  • Students can arrange transportation home with parents or limo services.
