Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD)

SADD is a national organization devoted to helping students make healthy choices and to avoid destructive decisions in various areas of life. Substance abuse prevention is a primary focus, but the club does not limit itself to this area.

Leadership opportunities, the chance to connect with like-minded teens who seek to make healthy decisions as they navigate high school, a creative outlet for those who enjoy designing posters, banners and other visual displays to underline SADD's messages.

SADD sponsors two all-school assemblies each year. Past topics have included opiate addiction, alcohol abuse, dating violence and the potential legal pitfalls that young people encounter using technology. SADD also leads the school in celebrating Red Ribbon Week each year. At prom time, SADD delivers positive messages about celebrating in a healthy way.
