About
The Business Club is sponsored by the History/Social Studies Department. It is an extension of Economics classes. It is open to all members of the Fenwick community with an interest in business.
Highlights
The Club members participate in the Stock Market Game simulation sponsored by Northern Illinois University. Participants place trades on the New York Stock Exchange in a simulation exercise. Club members also participate in the Chicago Board of Options Exchange Challenge. Participants place calls on the CBOE in a simulation exercise.
Events
The Club also sponsors speakers on a monthly basis from the Fenwick Business Council on a number of topics. This year those speakers included Ron Milner from GoBoodle on stock market investment, Fred Banyon from the CBOE Competition, Noel Moore on investment portfolio opportunities outside the stock market, and John Henek about the purchase, rehabilitation, and sale of failing companies.
