Sunday, November 12th:

Good Evening,

We are happy to announce that the fundraiser with Chipotle was extremely successful, with a total of $297.50 raised over four hours! Thanks to all who helped raise awareness of this fundraiser and attended it. OPRF has invited us to join them at their annual potluck on Wednesday, November 15th from 6:15 – 7:30 PM in the North Cafeteria at OPRF. In order to attend, you will have to bring a dish to the dinner (you can find out which one you are responsible for bringing on the attached flyer) and you must sign-up. This event does count for service hours for upperclassman. There will be a general meeting this Thursday, November 16th at 7:30 AM in the Digital Resource Room. If you plan on attending, please RSVP via Schoology. Our next major event, Fall Fest with PAEC, will take place this Friday, November 17th from 4:30 to 7:00 PM. There is an attached Google Doc with a listing of the necessary supplies and who has volunteered to procure them. If you are one of these people, you can give your receipt to either myself or Mr. Kmiecik to be reimbursed. If for whatever reason you cannot get your item, please get in contact with an officer as soon as possible! There will be an agenda coming out this week as well prior to the event with stations, activities, and group assignments. Our joint fundraiser with Chipotle will take place on Wednesday, November 8th between 5:00 and 9:00 PM. Please spread the word for this event as much as you can! You can go to our Facebook page and share the event on your timeline. You are not required to be there for four hours, please don’t do that. Our next major event, Fall Fest with PAEC, will take place on Friday, November 17th from 4:30 to 7:00 PM. There is an attached Google Doc with a listing of the necessary supplies and who has volunteered to procure them. If you are one of these people, you can give your receipt to either myself or Mr. Kmiecik to be reimbursed. If for whatever reason you cannot get your item, please get in contact with an officer as soon as possible! Also, we will be coming out with an agenda with assignments for Fall Fest in the coming weeks, so if you would like to attend sign-up as soon as possible to make that process seamless. Marshall Photographers will be taking our club photo TOMORROW, if you plan on being in the photo you MUST have your suitcoat. NO EXCEPTIONS! Also there will be a general meeting this Thursday, October 26th at 7:30 in the Digital Resource Room next to the library. If you plan on attending the meeting, please RSVP via the event on our Schoology calendar.

Wednesday, October 18th:

Good afternoon,

Today at the meeting we discussed some of the details for our event tomorrow with PAEC from 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm. If you would like to attend this event, please fill out the attached sign-up form. PLEASE NOTE that you MUST have an approved application on Best Buddies Online in order to attend the event. Also if you would like to receive hours for the Christian Service Project you MUST sign-up on the attached form. Sign-up closes tonight at 11:59. If you have to change your availability or anything on your sign-up form, please inform either myself or Mr. Kmiecik before 3:00 pm tomorrow afternoon. The sign-up form and directions to PAEC are attached below.

Today at the meeting, we discussed some of the events for our first event with PAEC which will take place on Thursday, October 19th from 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM. If you plan on attending the event, please fill out the form attached below to sign up. There are also directions to PAEC attached to this update. If you have any ideas for activities from today’s meeting, please either send us a copy of what you came up with this morning. If you have any more ideas for activities, events, fundraisers, or anything else regarding the club, please fill out the form titled “Suggestions Box” that can be found in our Schoology group resources. Also, if you have not filled out an application or it has not been approved yet, please reach out to us! We will gladly help you with the application process, and you must be registered on Best Buddies Online to both attend our events and to receive service hours.

This Wednesday our program manager Elizabeth Schroeder from Best Buddies International will be attending the General Meeting. I recommend that if you are able to attend Wednesday, try to arrive at Room 413-P promptly at 7:25 am. At the meeting, we will discuss the upcoming event with PAEC on Thursday, April 27th at 4:30 pm. We will also be going over some more details regarding the Friendship Walk on Saturday, May 6th at 9:00 am.

Wednesday, March 8th:

Good Morning,

So there was a slight error in the Google Form, which unfortunately means that everyone’s responses have been deleted. So in order to sign up for the Friendship Walk, you will have to go to the official website. At today’s meeting, we discussed our next event with PAEC on Thursday, March 16th. We also discussed the upcoming event that we have been invited to by Opportunity Knocks. They will be holding a trivia night this Sunday, March 12th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Trinity High School. Admission to the event is $5.00, and they are accepting donations.
