Friars Sweep the Season Series Vs Loyola

Fenwick Varsity Friars got out to a five-run lead in the fourth inning and held on for a 9-8 victory over Loyola Academy on Thursday.

There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Fenwick Varsity Friars collected ten hits

Fenwick Varsity Friars got things started in the first inning.  Ellie Kolb drove in two when Kolb homered.

Fenwick Varsity Friars notched four runs in the fourth inning.  Kailey Janda, Caity Barganski, and Leah Lowery all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Lowery was the winning pitcher for Fenwick Varsity Friars. The righty went three and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on four hits, striking out four and walking zero.

Talia Lorenzo started the game for Fenwick Varsity Friars. Lorenzo lasted three and a third innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out five. 

Fenwick Varsity Friars smacked two home runs on the day. Janda had a long ball in the fourth inning. Kolb went yard in the first inning.

Fenwick Varsity Friars tallied ten hits in the game.  Janda, Lowery, and Kolb each had multiple hits for Fenwick Varsity Friars.  Janda went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Fenwick Varsity Friars in hits.  Fenwick Varsity Friars didn't commit a single error in the field.
