Lorenzo Passes 400

Talia Lorenzo’s career strikeout total passes 400. Lorenzo was in the pitcher's circle for Fenwick Varsity Friars. The righthander lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out eight and walking one. This put Talia’s current strikeout total at 405
Fenwick Varsity Friars lost the lead late in a 7-4 defeat to Whitney Young on Friday.  The game was tied at four with Whitney Young batting in the top of the seventh when an error scored one run for Whitney Young.
Fenwick Varsity Friars lost despite out-hitting Whitney Young ten to nine.
Fenwick Varsity Friars took an early lead in the second inning.  An error scored two runs for Fenwick Varsity Friars.
After Whitney Young scored one run in the top of the fifth, Fenwick Varsity Friars answered with one of their own.  Whitney Young scored when N Allen doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.  Fenwick Varsity Friars then answered when Talia Lorenzo singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Fenwick Varsity Friars notched three runs in the second inning.  The offensive onslaught by Fenwick Varsity Friars was led by Ally Arispe and Emma Meehan, all driving in runs in the frame.
Emily R led things off in the circle for Whitney Young. The ace surrendered three runs on three hits over two innings, striking out one and walking one.
 
Fenwick Varsity Friars racked up ten hits.  Madelyn Entler and Maya Stathas all managed multiple hits for Fenwick Varsity Friars.  Stathas and Entler each managed two hits to lead Fenwick Varsity Friars.
