Fenwick Friars JV Blows Out Montini Catholic

Fenwick Friars JV easily did away with Montini Catholic 19-1 on Wednesday

 

Fenwick Friars JV got on the board in the first inning.  Gianna Pescatore singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

 

Fenwick Friars JV notched nine runs in the second inning.  The offensive onslaught came from singles by Liv Cameron and Gianna Bonano, home runs by Katie McCarthy and Pescatore, and a triple by Nicole Jasinski.

 

McCarthy pitched Fenwick Friars JV to victory. The righty went four innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out eight.

 

Lucy took the loss for Montini Catholic. The bulldog went three innings, allowing 19 runs on 19 hits and striking out six.

 

Fenwick Friars JV launched two home runs on the day. Pescatore went for the long ball in the second inning. McCarthy had a long ball in the second inning.

 

Fenwick Friars JV racked up 19 hits on the day.  Jasinski, Mckenna Posluszny, Pescatore, Rylee Graves, Cameron, Bonano, and Ellie Mockler each had multiple hits for Fenwick Friars JV.  Graves, Pescatore, Posluszny, and Jasinski all had three hits to lead Fenwick Friars JV.  Fenwick Friars JV tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Graves led the way with two.  Fenwick Friars JV didn't commit a single error in the field. Graves had the most chances in the field with eight.

 

Mikaelah went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Montini Catholic in hits.
