Gianna of Fenwick Friars JV Shuts Out Nazareth Academy

Gianna Pescatore didn't allow a single run against Nazareth Academy, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Fenwick Friars JV to a 17-0 victory on Monday
 
Sophia Leonardi led Fenwick Friars JV to victory by driving in four runs.  Leonardi went 3-for-4 at the plate.  Leonardi drove in runs on a double in the third and a home run in the fourth.
 
Fenwick Friars JV got things started in the first inning when Pescatore grounded out, scoring one run.
 
Fenwick Friars JV put up eight runs in the third inning.  The rally was led by singles by Ellie Mockler, Mckenna Posluszny, and Katie McCarthy, a triple by Liv Cameron, and a double by Leonardi.
 
A double by #9 in the first inning was a positive for Nazareth Academy.
 
Pescatore earned the victory in the circle for Fenwick Friars JV. Pescatore went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out seven.
 
#2 took the loss for Nazareth Academy. The hurler allowed 13 hits and 17 runs over four innings, striking out six.
 
Fenwick Friars JV launched one home run on the day. Leonardi had a homer in the fourth inning.
 
Fenwick Friars JV totaled 13 hits.  McCarthy, Leonardi, Pescatore, and Cameron all collected multiple hits for Fenwick Friars JV.  Leonardi and McCarthy all had three hits to lead Fenwick Friars JV.  Fenwick Friars JV didn't commit a single error in the field. Rylee Graves had the most chances in the field with seven.
 
#9 went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Nazareth Academy in hits.
