Lorenzo goes the distance

Fenwick Friars opened up scoring in the first inning, when Ellie Kolb laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.

 

Fenwick Friars tallied three runs in the second inning.  Fenwick Friars big bats were led by Ally Arispe, Teresa Nevarez, and Kolb, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

 

Talia Lorenzo earned the victory on the rubber for Fenwick Varsity Friars. Lorenzo went seven innings, allowing one run on six hits and striking out 12.

 

Fenwick Friars tallied nine hits on the day.  Maya Stathas, Kailey Janda, and Nevarez all managed multiple hits for Fenwick Varsity Friars.  Nevarez, Janda, and Stathas each collected two hits to lead Fenwick Friars.  Fenwick Friars was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
