Lowery Throws No-Hitter
Leah Lowery was brilliant on the rubber on Saturday, as Lowery threw a no-hitter to lead Fenwick Varsity Friars past Northside College Prep 3-0.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Lowery struck out 11, while Quinn Shanahan sat down five.
Fenwick Varsity Friars got things started in the first inning when Molly Mullen singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
Lowery led the Fenwick Varsity Friars to victory in the pitcher's circle. The righty surrendered zero runs on zero hits over five innings, striking out 11.
Shanahan took the loss for Northside College Prep . Shanahan went five innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out five and walking zero.
Mullen led Fenwick Varsity Friars with two hits in three at bats.
