Ms. Lamoureux is a Chicago based educator and director. She holds a Bachelors of Music Education (Voice) from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Music (Musical Theatre) from the Boston Conservatory, and a Masters of Music Education from Northwestern University.
Ms. Lamoureux is thrilled to be a faculty member at Fenwick High School in Oak Park, IL, where she has had the pleasure of teaching Choir. Ms. Lamoureux is passionate about teaching music and performing arts to youth. Specializing in secondary choral music, she aspires to bring a unique and creative approach to every classroom, and she believes that every child has the ability to find their own voice.
Ms. Lamoureux is also involved in various Chicagoland theatre organizations. Most notably, Ms. Lamoureux founded BAMtheatre in 2001 and has since built the company into the leading educational theatre program in the western suburbs of Chicago, involving over 600 students every year. Through BAM, Ms. Lamoureux has directed many productions including Matilda, Into the Woods, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and many others.
