Mark’s main role is to tell the stories of Fenwick -- both online (via the school website, e-newsletters, social media) and in print (Friar Reporter). From alumni and current students to faculty and friends of Fenwick, if you have a “yarn to spin,” Mark should know about it!
Mark grew up in Norridge, on the Northwest Side, and lived in Bartlett for many years. His adult daughter (Kirsten) works in San Diego, helping children afflicted with Autism Spectrum Disorder; his son (Matt) is a high-school senior.
Mark loves to write, having spent 25 years in corporate/marketing communications and publishing. He also is the Friars’ Head Freshmen Football Coach and coached varsity quarterbacks at Fenwick for four seasons. He is an All-State QB out of Ridgewood High, home of the Rebels, where he also was a 1st-chair trumpet player in the concert and jazz bands.
Double-major B.A. in English (writing) and Education (secondary) at Lake Forest College while lettering in football all four years.
