Meet the 2019 Captains!

In keeping with Fenwick Lacrosse tradition, captains are voted on by their varsity peers from the previous season. The 2019 captains are a representation of what is best about Fenwick - student athletes who are high achieving academically, immersed in the Fenwick experience by representing many clubs and teams, and are active members of their respective parish community.

Emily Smith '19 is the daughter of Cara Smith and parishioner and graduate of Saint Luke’s parish in River Forest. Emily lives in Forest Park and is very active in the Fenwick community serving as a student ambassador, a member of the Preaching team, is a Friar Mentor, a National Honors Society member, a member of the German Club, a Eucharistic Minister, a one year member of Fenwick’s Diving team and the Best Buddies Club. The 2019 campaign will be Emily’s third year at the varsity level. Emily contributes at the midfield and attack positions and is poised to have a great senior year.

Paige Haeflinger '19 is the daughter of Glen and Susan Haeflinger and is from Elmhurst. Paige is the twin sister of Alexa, and is parishioner and grammar school graduate at Visitation Parish. A two sport student athlete, Paige is a member of the cross country team, a member of the National Honor Society, a Write Place tutor, a Eucharistic minister, a member of the hapkido club and the secretary of the Italian Club. Paige is a certified swim instructor and volunteers at the Elmhurst Food Pantry. Paige will start her third year as a varsity defender, and will anchor that squad for 2019.

Alexa Haeflinger '19 is the daughter of Glen and Susan Haeflinger and is from Elmhurst. Alexa is the twin sister of Paige, and is parishioner and grammar school graduate at Visitation Parish. Alexa runs cross country, is an Italian club member, a Eucharistic minister, a member of the National Honor society, Fenwick TEAMS, and is a certified swim instructor. Alexa suffered a knee injury on the 2017 only to rebound strong on the 2018 season. Alexa will begin her third year on the varsity team, and looks to play a very pivotal role in 2019.
