The following navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move through main tier links and expand / close menus in sub tiers. Up and Down arrows will open main tier menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
This course is designed to introduce students to the various aspects of theatre and to encourage students in further participation, appreciation, and enjoyment of theatre and acting. Students will learn the fundamentals of the theatre as a creative art through the study of voice, movement, and performance. Students will learn a basic approach to working comfortably on the stage through warm-ups, improvisation, monologues, and scene work. Additionally, students will learn to read scripts for meaning, analysis, and evaluation. Students will work to create structured theatre events while working in cooperation with other members of the class to create an ensemble effort onstage. This course fulfills the graduation requirement for Fine Arts, and it is open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
