Thirty-five percent of Fenwick’s Class of 2018 are State Scholars in the State of Illinois, Fenwick High School has announced. That percentage represents the largest number of State Scholars in the history of the private, Catholic school, which was established in 1929.
Each year the Illinois Student Assistance Commission recognizes outstanding senior high school students in the state. Typically, approximately 10% of seniors attending school in Illinois achieve this honor. Recognition is based on a formula that includes performance-based data supplied by the high school and scores from standardized tests taken during their junior year.
