JBK Leaders Work to Assist American Soldiers

During the week of May 12th, the J. Kyle Braid leadership team will be raising funds to support Soldiers Angels http://www.soldiersangels.org/ -- an organization dedicated to supporting deployed soldiers and their families. The motto of the organization is: �May no soldier go unloved.� The goal is to raise $5000 through the sale of t-shirts, wristbands and magnets. Sales will go on in the lunch periods beginning on Monday May 12th. There will also be a special pizza sale in the Link area during 11th period on Thursday May 15th.

Fathers' Club Annual Steak Dinner & May Meeting

The Fenwick Fathers� Club invites current and incoming dads to attend The Annual Steak Dinner and May Meeting Thursday, May 15 at 7:00 PM in the Fenwick Link Reception Area. The program will feature a Review of the Year in Fenwick Athletics by Mr. Mike Curtin, Athletic Director. Reservations are necessary. Incoming dads are invited as guests of the Fathers� Club and current dads can attend at the cost of $20.

Instructions for buying a bid for the Junior Date Dance on Friday May 16th, 7:30-10:30 p.m. at the Wyndham Drake in Oak Brook.

College Information Series - Class of 2009 & Parents

An introductory presentation on the college selection process will be made on the dates listed above. The SAME presentation will be made on each evening in order to accommodate your family's calendar. Mr. Borsch, Mr. Egan, and Mrs. Docherty will address ACT/SAT interpretation, deadlines, application strategies, essays, recommendations, and financial aid among other factors. Parents of current juniors and their students are encouraged to attend one of the sessions.
