New Hangtag Parking Program
 
Beginning August 2009 Fenwick High School is collaborating with the Village of Oak Park to implement a new parking service for students and all members of the Fenwick community.  In lieu of the permit stickers, students will now be able to purchase ORANGE hangtags that will allow them to park at designated streets spaces and the parking lot at Oak Park Avenue and Madison Street.

How much is a hangtag? 
Hangtags are $160 for the entire school year, while supplies last.
 
Where do I purchase the hangtag?
Hangtags are available for purchase by check at the Fenwick Reception Desk starting on August 12th.  Please make check payable to Fenwick High School.
 
Is there a limited number of hangtags available?
There are 225 hangtags available and they are distributed on a first come, first serve basis.  Currently all allotted hangtags issued by the Village of Oak Park are sold.  Students are encouraged to add their name to the waitlist at our Reception Desk.  When and if the Village of Oak Park releases additional parking Students on the waitlist will be contacted in the order they were received.
 
Do I need a hangtag if I purchased an Oak Park Village Student Sticker?
The Village of Oak Park permanently suspended use of our Student stickers and replaced the program with hangtags.  Any stickers purchased by way of the Village of Oak Park renewal program will be honored until the expiration date posted on the sticker.  All Students are encouraged to add their names to the waitlist at the Fenwick Reception Desk.
 
Where can I park if I have an orange hangtag?
Click Here to download a map of the designated hangtag parking areas.  The hangtag MUST be hung from your rear view mirror with the printed side facing outwards. **Notice on the map that East/West streets only are included in the program, such as Adams, Washington, Randolph, Pleasant and South.  NO North/South street parking is valid with the hangtag.**
 
Are there specific hours that the hangtag is valid?
The hangtag allows students to park on designated streets from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  After 4:00 PM, please check the parking signs to determine if you need to move your car.  For those students who participate in after school activities, please note that after 2:30 PM, the Fenwick parking lot is open and it is recommended for convenience purposes that you move your car into the lot.  Please note the Oak Park and Madison parling lot hours are 6:00am - 10:30pm Monday thru Friday.
 
What are some of the benefits of the hangtag program?
  • The designated parking area has now been extended to include the lot on Oak Park Avenue and Madison Street that has the capacity to fit 90 automobiles.
  • Unlike permit stickers, the hangtags are good for the entire school year.
  • The hangtags are transferable and can be assigned to more than one vehicle.  Therefore, more than one person can use the hangtag for carpooling.  No registration form is necessary. The address on your check is registered in our database, offically logging hangtag owner number to address.
**FENWICK'S MAIN PARKING LOT ADJACENT TO THE BUILDING WILL STILL BE RESERVED FOR FACULTY AND STAFF DURING THE SCHOOL DAY.  HOWEVER, AFTER SCHOOL DISMISSAL, THE PARKING LOT IS AVAILABLE TO ANYONE.**
