Responsible Sports Community Grant

An organization called responsible sports has a community grant program where a team or school can obtain a grant in the amount of $5000 for their sport.  I have registered Fenwick’s hockey program for this.  All we need to do is log onto their website, read some info on sports parenting, and take a quiz.  It takes about fifteen minutes to read the info and take the quiz.  You can also take the quiz without reading the info.    Please forward this on to ANYONE who would be willing to take the time and support Fenwick Hockey.  We only have through the end of the month to enter.

There is also a section for coaches, and all the coaches should do the same, following the “responsible coaching” track.

Here’s what you do:  go to the website, responsiblesports.com

Click on sign up today in upper right corner.  You will need to wait for a verification email to finish the sign up process.  They send you an email, click on the link in your email, answer a few questions and you are registered.  Once you have completed the registration and are logged in on responsiblesports.com, (it will say “welcome, your name” on the upper right of the page) click on “responsible sport parenting” on left, click on “begin guide” to read the information.  If you want to take the quiz, just click on the “Responsible Sport Parenting Quiz” on the left.

Submit your quiz.  If there are wrong answers, it will display the quiz with your answers and you need to resubmit with correct answers.

If you are 100% correct, you are then brought to a new page.  Click on “credit organization” to submit your quiz.  It will ask you to search for your organization -“Fenwick High School Hockey”.  Make sure you pick the Friars, the Oak Park Park District Huskies are also registered.

The more people do this, the better our chances to get a grant in the amount of $5000!

You will be receiving an email from responsible sports asking to enter.  You won't be on their mailing list until you actually sign up yourself.

Thanks for your help!
